Our next 1st
Reconciliation preparation sessions begin Sept. 2012
Reconciliation
(Confession, Penance)
is one of the most beautiful Sacraments in our
Catholic Faith. People receive God's love and forgiveness, and are brought
back into union with the Church, the Body of Christ.
A child's First
Reconciliation should be joyful, peaceful, reassuring. Some
children who completed Reconciliation said, "Can we do it again
next week?" Our goal is that they are well prepared, experience
God's love in the Sacrament, and come back anytime they need it.
Parent
Meeting:
Parents are the
primary teachers of the Sacrament. We develop activities and
choose materials that help the parent fulfill his/her role. The
parents determine readiness for the Sacraments. We assist you in
seeing the signs of age appropriate understanding of Reconciliation.
