Many young people at St. Mary and St.
Joseph help with our programs.
Those who help with younger children are held to high standards.
If you are 18 years old or older and out of high school, you
must fulfill the requirements for adults.
We ask that all volunteers who are 18 years of age and under and still
in high school:
- Fill out the standard
application, collecting the signatures of adults who attest to your
character,
- Sign a copy of the Youth Code of
Conduct,
- and attend an awareness
session through Inter-Parish Religious Formation. The
awareness session describes what the adults in our parish do to keep
children safe from child molesters, and what role you have as an
older youth helping in the program.
Please fill out the forms found at
this link
if you plan to help with the following ministries:
- Children's liturgy of the Word
(St. Mary or St. Joseph),
- Babysitting during Mass (St.
Mary),
- Religious Education Classes
(Sunday morning or Wednesday evening),
- Babysitting during Religious
Education classes,
- Retreats for younger teens
- Other ministries involving a
leadership role with peers or younger children.
